Thank to everyone who came out for the grilled cheese eating contest. The big winner was Walter, who now has one free year of grilled cheese sandwiches. A special thank you to our youngest contestant Lucas, great job buddy
As we settle into the last half of the week and the rain returns, take comfort in knowing that the hardest working foodie in Vancouver, yes Mom herself, is thinking of you as she basks in the sun on the sandy beaches of Mexico. She is not allowed to cook grilled cheese while in Mexico though, it’s a real break and vacation, finally! Mom’s is open for business as usual, so stop by for lunch. If you come by next week and Mom is looking all tanned, it won’t be from getting too close to the grill
One of Mom’s regulars Raquel is in Ghana, volunteering and making a difference. It looks like the kids of Ghana now know what Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck is, as they are all sporting their Mom’s stickers. Great work Raquel!! In case you didn’t know, The Republic of Ghana is approximately 800 km north and west of the modern state of Ghana in Africa, and controlled territories in the area of the Sénégal River and east towards the Niger rivers, in modern Senegal, Mauritania and Mali. Looks like this week week we’ll take a step backwards with the weather as we progress through the week. Another great reason to get down to Mom’s for a warm lunch.
Yup, nothing is more intimidating than the sound of four stroller wheels, the skull & cross bones on a kid hat and a Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck tattoo on a mini forearm! If this youngster can brave the rain today, you can too. Get yourself down to Mom’s for lunch and warm up with one of Mom’s now famous grilled cheese sandwiches, some chili or her organic homemade tomato soup. Happy Friday!
Hey congratulations, you’ve almost made it through the work week! Thanks to everyone who came by this week for a warm lunch on a these cold but sunny days. Today is Baby Daddy day, the new hit item on our menu. We take tender beef brisket with horseradish mayo, caramelized onions and Havarti cheese on potato bread and grill it to perfection. See you for lunch today!!
There are a lot of different ways to say we are busy. Active, unavailable, smoked, working, buried, employed, engaged, engrossed, hustling, occupied, overloaded, persevering, slaving, snowed under, wamped, rockin’, having a full plate, having enough on one’s plate, having fish to fry, hopping, givin’er, having many irons in the fire, get’n-er done, in a meeting, in conference, industrious, on duty, on the go, tied up! But there is always time for you! See you for lunch today
Through rain, fog, sun, sleet and the damp winter days, the super powers on the Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck are at work to make your lunch experience the best it can be! The team activates their super hero powers to bring lunch to all, in the heart of Metropolis 7 days a week. Wonder twin powers activate!!! If you are a certain age, you’ll get this and love it! If you are too young, well, it’s probably over your head
