Dude, Don’t Bogart My Grilled Cheese, Man!

In case you missed it, this past weekend was 420 Vancouver. Mom’s grilled Cheese Truck was there and let me tell you……there were some serious munchies going on! LOL. We sold out of almost everything on the tuck. It was an epic day. Makes you wonder about legalization, but that’s another topic. If you didn’t know, 420 is the world recognized international day of celebration for the planet’s estimated 250,000,000 members of the cannabis culture. There was live music by Kitty In The City,  The Ponderosas and many more. An estimated 35,000 people turned out for the event, and about 20,000 of them chowed down grilled cheese! Pretty impressive event. If you are curious, feel free to reach out to Event Coordinator Jodie Emery at jodie@cannabisculture.com. Dude, where’s my car?

Expanded Hours For Your Belly!

We were on blogging vacation, but we’re back!! OK, some quick housekeeping items: Mom’s is now open 7 days a week, look for us at our usual spot located on the corner of Robson & Howe by the Vancouver Art Gallery. We are also open in the evenings too, from 6 through 9PM. Get yourself down here for a warm spring-day lunch visit today, see you soon!

Mmmmmeatloaf!

Yes, it is Meatloaf Monday, a hearty slice of homemade meatloaf surrounded by melted mozzarella and marinara sauce on crusty French bread. This is probably Mom’s most famous grilled cheese and offers the best filler for your lunch time hunger on a cold and wet Monday. Business and school is back to normal today, so we look forward to seeing you for a nice warm lunch, some comfort food like Mom used to make..

Babu, Where Are You?

Mom’s big give away last Friday was a big success except for one problem…..our winner has not surfaced. Babu, where are you? People who win the lottery sometimes take some time to contemplate life and what their next steps will be. However, grilled cheese isn’t exactly a life changer, is it? Somnath (a.k.a. Babu), come on down and start your free grilled cheese sandwiches for a year. We’ve left you a voice mail as well. Babu, where are you?
