Happy New Year! What a great day it is out there today, sunny, the snow capped mountains on the North Shore and Mom’s grilled Cheese Truck back on the streets for the first day of
2013. It’s a frosty morning and it will be a cold day today, so it is the perfect day to get yourself down to Mom’s for a hot grilled cheese sandwich, or maybe Mom’s now famous Roasted Tomato Soup topped with basil mascarpone…….or a piping hot large cup of Mom’s homemade chili topped with cheddar! Mmmmmmm, hot comfort foods on a cold January day, sounds like the ideal way to start your 2013 off perfectly. See you today for lunch.

Elvis Is In The House
Sunny, highs approaching 30 degrees and blue skies! No better place on earth on a beautiful day than Vancouver……..and it’s an ideal day to come down for lunch to Mom’s for a grilled cheese. If you feel like something a little different and decadent, why don’t you try what a great couple we met from New York City tried, The Fat Elvis! Peanut butter and banana with a sprinkle of smoked sea salt on white. Yes, you too can eat like the King. Check out the King in action in Hawaii in 1973, lay included! Thank you very much.
Road Construction Blues – Look For Us At Howe & Robson
With the warm weather FINALLY back, the line ups at Mom’s have gotten a little bigger.
With the warm weather, also comes the City of Vancouver summer road construction and repair. Our normal spot is loud, the bang-bang-bang of jack hammers won’t stop. The City has our regular parking space closed right now. If we are not there over the next while, please have a look about a dozen parking meters South towards Robson Street.
We were set up there today and it was busy, one of our busiest days ever! As the temperature jumped above 20 today, we served up more and more hot home made organic tomato soup, topped with basil mascarpone. The soup shots for $1.00 were flying quicker than last call shots at 2:00AM with your beer goggles on! Thanks for your continued support everyone!
