Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck 3rd annual eating contest is this Friday, October 10th, 2014!
Be sure you visit Mom’s to sign up for a chance to enter. It’s at 12:00 noon on Friday at our normal location, don’t be late….you snooooze, you looooooze. You’ll have to sign up at Mom’s for a chance to compete, the lucky participants will be given 3 grilled cheese sandwiches, first contestant to finish (swallow & show us their tongue) is the winner. It’s a long way from the Grilled Cheese Eating world record of 13 grilled cheese sandwiches in one minute, but we’ll have fun! Hey, you might even want to start training by visiting Mom’s every day this week to ensure you are ready!
Mom’s website is back, our writer was in a cheese coma. We have been sun drenched over the last number of months, so get yourself down here and enjoy what’s left. Also, we now have a daily soup special, every day a different soup. What will the soup du jour be today?
Great end to the week, last week….as Mom and all her hard working girls hit the town for a few apre-work beverages! The amazing weather continues this week, so get yourself down here for a gourmet grilled cheese lunch experience!
Just asked Manny, who stopped by last week for an amazing Baby Daddy grilled cheese, here at Mom’s grilled Cheese Truck! No doubt, the weather has turned, spring has unofficially sprung on the West coast. So get yourself down here this week for lunch, we are at Robson and Howe Streets, back-side of the Vancouver Art Gallery beside Robson Square. See you soon
Just a heads up, Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck is open on Saturday, Sunday and Monday for the BC Family Day Holiday, from 12:00 to 5:00 PM. However, on Tuesday the 11th, we will be closed. Mom’s gotta do, what Mom’s gotta do.
Sunny, highs approaching 30 degrees and blue skies! No better place on earth on a beautiful day than Vancouver……..and it’s an ideal day to come down for lunch to Mom’s for a grilled cheese. If you feel like something a little different and decadent, why don’t you try what a great couple we met from New York City tried, The Fat Elvis! Peanut butter and banana with a sprinkle of smoked sea salt on white. Yes, you too can eat like the King. Check out the King in action in Hawaii in 1973, lay included! Thank you very much.
With the warm weather FINALLY back, the line ups at Mom’s have gotten a little bigger. With the warm weather, also comes the City of Vancouver summer road construction and repair. Our normal spot is loud, the bang-bang-bang of jack hammers won’t stop. The City has our regular parking space closed right now. If we are not there over the next while, please have a look about a dozen parking meters South towards Robson Street.
We were set up there today and it was busy, one of our busiest days ever! As the temperature jumped above 20 today, we served up more and more hot home made organic tomato soup, topped with basil mascarpone. The soup shots for $1.00 were flying quicker than last call shots at 2:00AM with your beer goggles on! Thanks for your continued support everyone!
