Yes, of course Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck will be at 420 this Sunday. Where ever there are 35,000 420 supporters with the munchies, we’ll be there! Have a great long weekend, and we’ll see you Saturday in our normal spot and Sunday for 420 at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
As we settle into the last half of the week and the rain returns, take comfort in knowing that the hardest working foodie in Vancouver, yes Mom herself, is thinking of you as she basks in the sun on the sandy beaches of Mexico. She is not allowed to cook grilled cheese while in Mexico though, it’s a real break and vacation, finally! Mom’s is open for business as usual, so stop by for lunch. If you come by next week and Mom is looking all tanned, it won’t be from getting too close to the grill
Hey a HUGE thank you to Phillip Phillips for stopping by Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck! Phillip came by for a Baby Daddy, then took to his Twitter account to tell his almost 700,000 followers about Mom’s.
Then at his concert Saturday night downtown Vancouver at Rogers Arena, he told the 18,000 fans there all about his Mom’s grilled Cheese Truck experience….and apparently he went on and on and on. Thanks Phillip, we love you here in Vancouver. What a guy! The least we can do is plug PP right back, so check out his big hit Gone, Gone, Gone
If by chance you have the kids with you this week and are doing a “staycation”, come down and do lunch out at Mom’s! It’s a great way to keep the kids busy and help get you through the day with your sanity! Imagine how pumped up the kids will be when you tell them they can make their own custom grilled cheese. If they are anything like Mom’s niece and nephew…..they’ll probably go with, cheese. Yup, just cheese. Kids do like it simple. Let’s call them traditionalists. The kids also love our selection of pops, and will love the Rootbeer Float!!!!
One of Mom’s regulars Raquel is in Ghana, volunteering and making a difference. It looks like the kids of Ghana now know what Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck is, as they are all sporting their Mom’s stickers. Great work Raquel!! In case you didn’t know, The Republic of Ghana is approximately 800 km north and west of the modern state of Ghana in Africa, and controlled territories in the area of the Sénégal River and east towards the Niger rivers, in modern Senegal, Mauritania and Mali. Looks like this week week we’ll take a step backwards with the weather as we progress through the week. Another great reason to get down to Mom’s for a warm lunch.
For all the regulars who stop by Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck, or the one-timers just checking it out…..getting to know the amazing Mom herself and her cute daughter is part of the grilled cheese experience. Cindy (aka Mom) is all heart and personality, so enjoy getting to see who Mom is at a more personal level, courtesy of Trish Neufeld at Memory Box Movies, capturing life’s legacies to share, and preserve for generations to come.
Just asked Manny, who stopped by last week for an amazing Baby Daddy grilled cheese, here at Mom’s grilled Cheese Truck! No doubt, the weather has turned, spring has unofficially sprung on the West coast. So get yourself down here this week for lunch, we are at Robson and Howe Streets, back-side of the Vancouver Art Gallery beside Robson Square. See you soon
